High Point Gymnastics started by the dream of one man who wanted to encourage physical fitness in the lives of people around him. Rob Travers found his niche after working with his younger sister who had spina bifida. His experience with physical therapy made him realize the need for a healthy lifestyle. During college Rob hosted a gymnastics program at UNC Greensboro for age group.

After college he then worked with his mentor at YWCA in downtown Greensboro. He set up and tore down the equipment every single day ensure that the kids in this local community could experience the love of gymnastics. At this time he had multiple national level gymnast.

After 8 years he decided to create High Point Gymnastics Academy. To this day Rob and his staff commit themselves to producing a high level gymnastics team with character development as their number one goal. HPGA also offers many programs for children in the community to come love the sport of gymnastics and learn what physical fitness is all about.

Our vision is to open out doors to the high point community to be a place where kids can come to learn to love physical activity and become happy healthy members of our community. We want everyone here to understand and physical activity can be fun and engaging- gymnastics is a great way to build that foundation!

Come make gymnastics a High Point in your life!
